SPIRIT OF ENTERPRISE
purpose is to fund, encourage and help those who have, and are founding, Spirit of Enterprise non profit institutions throughout the world.
Our primary emphasis for the next several years is expected to continue to be Asia which is where SOE began in 2002.
The Spirit of Enterprise promotes and advances entrepreneurial spirit by honoring local self-reliant entrepreneurs operating small and medium-sized businesses. We also serve to inspire the formation of new businesses, especially by the young, to become entrepreneurs. This is done by facilitating interaction, communication and knowledge dissemination between students, the entrepreneurs and the general public.
Key programs include :
> Student interviews of entrepreneurs
> Posting the interviews (Nominees) on SOE web site
> Asking to the public to vote for nominees who they think should be designated a Spirit of Enterprise Honoree
> Spirit of Enterprise Awards Books on entrepreneurship created from student interviews and sold in bookstores
> Free distribution of books to university and other business school students

> Each country may create programs that are especially relevant to them.
> Young Student Entrepreneur in School Program Posting names of new business on web site TV series of competing entrepreneurs with cash prize Speakers’ series
> Stipends to help in the creation of new business Introduction to government matching funds programs
Bursaries to schools designated by Honorees Introduction to “angel” investors |
